Fruit quality is one of the main fruit attributes that affect the marketability and attractiveness of
Thompson Seedless grapes (Vitis vinifera L.). Grapevines were subjected to the following treatments: Lisophos
(LPE) at 200 ppm, salicylic acid at 1 or 2 mM, potassium sulphate at 0.5% (w/v) and their combinations, in
addition to the control (water spray). The vines received treatments as one application time on onset of veraison
stage. This study aimed at investigating the effects of preharvest sprays of LPE, salicylic acid and potassium
sulphate on clusters and berries quality at harvest. Furthermore, to provide grape producers with new-applicable safe,
easy and cheap treatments and potential practical application to improve berries quality at harvest. The present
study recommended using the formulations included in salicylic acid at 1 or 2 mM, Lisophos 200 ppm and
potassium sulphate 0.5% to improve the overall quality of Thompson Seedless grapes.
